Explorer Trips start off at Camp IAWAH on Sunday afternoon with some explaination of our gear and talking about our goals. Sorting through personal gear and getting it to fit in a 30L bag. We will also do our swim test followed by a great IAWAH dinner. After supper we will hit the water again with some teaching or review of some basic canoe skills.

After supper we head out on the water and go through the ORCKA Safe Canoe Program which covers basic canoe and rescue skills which we will need for our trip, including canoe over canoe rescues.

Explorer Girls, and Explorer Boys will be on the Madawaska River in Ontario, and Explorer Co-ed will be on the Coulonge River is west Quebec.

Friday is the last day on the river and we head back to camp for a great supper and some IAWAH recreation!

Friday night is also movie night. We will also have a slide show time looking back at our week's adventure.

With many of our programs if you are interested in ORCKA Flatwater certification, A,B,C or D, let our staff know ahead of time that we can prepare for that.
